Hans Ibelings

Hans Ibelings (Rotterdam 1963) is an architectural historian and editor/publisher of A10 new European architecture, a bimonthly pan-European magazine. Ibelings studied art history and archeology at the University of Amsterdam. After graduating in 1988 he worked as a curator at the Netherlands Architecture Institute, Rotterdam (1989-2000). Since 2000 he is working as an independent architectural critic, editor and curator. Hans Ibelings is the author of several books, including
Supermodernism: Architecture in the Age of Globalisation (1998 and 2003).
He has been visiting professor of architectural history at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL).
