The old slogan “we have Croatia” should have read “we have a state”, while Croatia is still only a project.

Architects and designers are planners and they should form Croatia.

The question “what does Croatian mean” should be defined within clear outlines. This certainly does not refer to worn-out expressions like tradition / modernism as juxtaposed categories, but a broader concept whose aim is a synthesis of the overall idea of “Croatia”. This could be achieved by following definitions.

Croatian properties are:
                                        Different
                                        Good
                                        Beautiful
                                        Worldly
                                        Croatian

1 “Croatian” should be achievable and memorable in different ways
2 “Croatian” can be only that which is good
3 “Croatian” should be beautiful in aesthetic categories as well
4 It would be very good if “Croatian” could be worldly in its value,
   individuality and originality.
5 “Croatian” should be Croatian even then, when not all the conditions for
that are fulfilled, but we protect it as our own. Maybe once someone else
after us will achieve its full value.
