..: 1. The executive organizer of 38th Zagreb Salon is the Croatian Architects Association (UHA), co-organizer being the Architects Society of Zagreb (DAZ).

..: 2. The right to participate in 38th Zagreb Salon is given to every author or a group of authors (a group of authors is a group of authors on an equal footing amongst themselves, authors are presented in alphabetical order) for one’s own project designed or actualized in Croatia, as well as project designed or actualized for Croatia.

..: 3. Each author or a group of authors has the right to apply and participate in the Salon with an unlimited number of projects emerged in the period between year 2000 and 2003.

..: 4. The projects can be applied by filling out a separate application of 38th Zagreb Salon with the adequate graphic supplements enclosed which have to be presented for each project on a maximum of 3 sheets of paper of A3 size (non-lined), and preferably on CD (in tiff format, resolution min. 300 dpi), or photographs and/or slides The application is available on the premises of the Croatian Architects Association (UHA) and on Internet: www.d-a-z.hr/zagrebsalon.

..: 5. All the projects applied will be submitted to the selector Stefano Boeri (It), appointed by the Organizational Board of 38th Zagreb Salon, who will inspect them and single out those that are to be presented in the exhibition.

..: 6. All the projects chosen for the exhibition participate in the competition for the prizes of the Salon. The members of the Salon’s expert committees as well as their close relatives and cooperatives have the right to participate in the Salon but cannot take part in competing for the prizes.

..: 7. By applying a project, the authors agree to the terms of this call, as well as agreeing that their project will be openly exhibited and publicized. The Organizational Board of the Salon retains the right to photograph each applied project, publicize the projects in the Salon’s catalogue and the right to use the projects for advertising purposes without reimbursement to the authors.

..: 8. The exhibition will be accompanied by the publication of a catalogue, printed and on CD.

..: 9. Supplements cannot be reclaimed by the authors.

..: 10. The Call For Participation in 38th Zagreb Salon will be published in "Jutarnji list" daily newspaper, “Čovjek i prostor” monthly magazine of the Croatian Architects Association as well as on the Internet: www.d-a-z.hr.

..: 11. The deadline for the application for 38th Zagreb Salon is September 15, 2003. The applications, together with the accompanying supplements are to be handed in personally Monday-Friday, between 10:00-17:00 hours, delivered or posted to the address of the Croatian Architects Association: Udruženje hrvatskih arhitekata (UHA), Trg bana J. Jelačića 3/I, 10 000 Zagreb, specifying "For 38th Zagreb Salon". The date and the stamp on the materials sent by post mail will indicate the validity of the application.

..: 12. The participants will be informed of the selection results before September 29, 2003.

..: 13. The authors are, following the directions provided, required to deliver the fully prepared exhibits between November 3-7, 2003 to the address of the Association of Croatian Architects: Udruženje hrvatskih arhitekata (UHA), Trg bana J. Jelačića 3/I, 10 000 Zagreb.

..: 14. The exhibition of 38th Zagreb Salon will be held from November 27 till December 27, 2003 on the premises of Gliptoteka HAZU (Gliptoteque of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts), Zagreb, Medvedgradska 2.

..: 15. Upon the closing of the exhibition, authors can reclaim their projects within 15 days. The authors are required to respect the given deadlines for delivery and reclaiming of their projects, otherwise UHA as the executive organizer of 38th Zagreb Salon will not be able to take responsibility for them.

..: 16. Following the suggestion of the selector, the Organizational Board will award the prizes of 38th Zagreb Salon: a Grand Prize in the amount of 24,000.00 Kn (net) and three equally worth prizes in the amount of 8,000.00 Kn (net) each. The selector retains the right to change the decision on the number and the distribution of prizes, except for the Grand Prize.

..: 17. The winner of the Grand Prize of 38th Zagreb Salon gets the opportunity to have an individual exhibition at the next Zagreb salon of Architecture.
